Hello again! This is going to be a pretty short post, but I felt like it needed to be posted nonetheless. And before I start, I just have to say that taking a "resting day" (a day that you don't work out) at least once a week is really beneficial and sometimes critical. Anyway...
A few days ago I missed my workout unintentionally (it wasn't my designated resting day) and I felt the need to make up for it. So, on Saturday, I doubled my regular workout to compensate. I wanted to cry, and though I didn't, I ended up crashing on my bed for a couple of hours and was really sore the rest of the day. But I did it. So then I thought, I am not working as hard as I could be even though I had previously thought I was. I had raised the bar for myself. Though I don't think I'm really ready to double the workout like I did the other day, I now realize that I need to up the anti and work harder than I was before. This was not a happy thought.... it is exercise, after all, but now I know that I have to do it in order to accomplish my goals.
So, I guess the point of this post is that you always need to try to push your limits. You may be capable of more than you imagined. Maybe you learn that you're not ready to amp it up all the way, but you could be doing more to help yourself than before. The body is amazing. I want to challenge you to have the confidence in yourself and push hard to raise your on bar; exceed your own expectations and blow your "limits" out of the water. You can do it!
