I mention this because it just emphasizes my point that changing your eating habits and exercise has to be a lifestyle change; it's not temporary. Maybe for those of you who don't have obesity, doing a small diet to get those few pounds off is fine for you. But for those of you like me, it's an every day struggle. We have to fight to get and keep the weight off. Maybe it's not fair, but who does it hurt to live a little bit healthier and strive to make the best of what we have? No one.
Now that I have ranted a little bit, I decided recently that I wanted to put some healthy food ideas out there for those who want some. So here they are:
- The first one is a salad. One day I just decided to make a berry salad, and this is what I had- spinach, strawberries, blueberries, sunflower seeds (without the shells), and poppyseed dressing (light). It was really yummy! In this picture, they have watermelon in it as well, which I may have to try soon.
- I also really like to make smoothies because it's easier to get in my fruits and veggies. I'll try to post more as I experiment, but here are a few combinations that I liked:
- Strawberry, banana, grapes, and spinach (not a lot; just enough to get those extra nutrients. You can't even taste it)
- Pineapple, peach, banana
- Peach, blueberry, strawberry
That's all I'm going to post here for now, but I also have a earlier post on healthy recipes that has a link to some healthy recipes, and you can get to it by clicking here. Good luck with your goals, whatever they may be. Most importantly, don't give up. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
My progress:
Pounds lost: 37.4
Inches lost: 68
